About Jake

I’ve always believed the wild has a way of telling its own story; you just have to be there to listen. My path to conservation hasn’t been the traditional one. I spent over 17 years in customer-facing roles, honing my skills in communication, organization, content creation, and problem-solving in retail and tech, while feeding my soul through travel, hiking, and photography. Over the years, I’ve wandered national parks, hiked hidden trails, and stood in places so breathtaking they defy description — and I realized I wanted my work to help protect them.

Today, I combine photography, writing, field services, mapping, and storytelling to document the landscapes and wildlife that inspire us all. Whether I’m capturing a sunrise over a remote ridgeline, mapping a trail through old-growth forest, or crafting a report that secures funding for a restoration project, my mission is the same: to make sure the beauty and value of our natural world is seen, understood, and preserved.
